Experimental project for historical AIS data
« on: 10 October, 2016, 12:26:27 am »
Hello there,

I run the AIS station 2404 for San Francisco. I also receive the consolidated feed and decided to try out an experimental project to make historical vessel locations available:

Here is an example for a ship that sailed to San Francisco via Panama Canal: https://www.partmarine.com/vessel/mmsi/636017263

Here is another ship that sailed from San Francisco to Japan: https://www.partmarine.com/vessel/mmsi/538003648

There is no search interface yet but you can simply insert the MMSI into the URL. Database contains entries since last September. I wish we could have access to satellite AIS as well ;-)

Check out and let me know what you think.

Thanks,

Ilker

Took one step further and developed an interface that allows downloading Historical AIS Data automatically: https://www.partmarine.com/historical_ais_data
