aisdecoder.exe under window 7
« on: 18 February, 2015, 03:02:53 pm »
Hi all.
I downloaded aisdecoder.exe for windows.
I understood I can launch it from a command prompt or better from a .bat
Unfortunately I couldn't find how to set each parameter.
Can someone help me? Thanks in advance!

Short description of what I want to do.
1. get input
1A. I usually run sdr# and a decoder on the same pc using VB-CABLE
How can I direct aisdecoder.exe to read from vb-cable?
1B. if aisdecoder can't run with vb-cable I will use 2 pc connected via a real audio cable...
2. send output (NMEA FORMAT) to a file
(I have a parser of my own reading a AIVDM msg).
A general description (with examples) of all parameter will be appreciated.
May someone wrote a GUI for aisdecoder under windows?

[I'm sorry to cite "competitors"... I used AISmon for a while but one day it works and the other day it doesn't
(runtime error 9 index out of boundary or something like that...)]

Thank you for your answers.

Currently I'm able to run both aisdecoder and aisdispatcher under windows.

Now my problem is to have the output "flowing" in a plain text file like:
!AIVDM,1,1,,,13ciC`0P1G0`>RVIJT5lGww00<11,0*45
I've tried with stderr redirection (aisdecoder with -d option write to console)
but it does not work.
Any suggestion?
bye
