Request to share a feed
« on: 17 August, 2013, 04:52:48 pm »
I'm the author of the SEAiq apps (www.seaiq.com) for Apple iPads.  For some time, I've been wanting to add support for an internet AIS feed to my apps.  However, I live with my family on a sailboat (svnorthfork.blogspot.com) and AIS Hub won't accept a "roaming feed" from the AIS on my boat.  When we moved aboard, we sold our house so we don't have any footprint on land to place a fixed AIS feed.  I was wondering if any active AIS Hub users (ideally already SEAiq users) would be willing to let me "tap" into their AIS Hub feed so I can in turn share the information with SEAiq users.

Thank you for your consideration & I apologize for anyone bothered by my request.

best regards, Mark Hayden

Dear Mark,

It is not a problem that your feed is "roaming". The only requirement is that it should work stable without big interruptions.

If you can keep it live 24/7 just send a message to info@aishub.net and we will open UDP port for you.

Best regards,
Peter
