Chart options in VT Explorer
« on: 16 September, 2010, 12:20:03 am »
Would it be possible in the furture to offer users other chart options?
Not very interesting display when zoomed in to ports.
The .bsb .kap format would be ideal.

The graphic engine of VT Explorer supports vector graphics only but we are thinking about such feature. BSB and KAP files are raster format.

Dear peter,

Is there any change that CM-93 charts are usable in VT-explorer? The software module is availible in OpenCPN.

CM93 format is similar to ENC (S57) charts. They use same structure but both formats are not compatible. We have started development of ENC software library but it is not finished yet. The problem is the lack of time. After the completion of ENC support we will think about CM93.

Hi all,
I'm using the AISHub version of VT Explorer for ships visualization, but I have working the World Chart only.
If I select OpenStreeMap from the Charts menu I have the ships visualization, but with a grey background only.
What can I do to have a more detailed maps?
